PLATARIA

Plataria is situated in the Municipality of Igoumenitsa.It is located in the gulf of Plataria , between two capes and Agionisi Ieronisi and between the ports of Igoumenitsa and Sivota. Opposite Plataria there is Lefkimi ,Corfu  and in the south the islands of Paxos.  Plataria is a relatively new village because its inhabitants moved here from the more mountainous parts of the region.They created a really picturesque fishing village with Marinas, a sandy beach, places for the public and green areas. The visitor can find hotels, apartments, rooms for accommodation and also taverns, restaurants, cafes, snack bars offering relaxation and tranquility for those seeking a quiet holiday.Also in the region there are many beautiful sights and attractions to visit.There is a regular bus service to Igoumenitsa ( distance 12 km ),  Ioannina ( 70 km ) and Athens ( 500 km ).
